About the event

Championing Change is a student-led case competition that challenges university students to develop thoughtful, practical solutions to real-world responsible business issues, including diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Designed for students at the early stages of their case competition journey, the event emphasizes learning, collaboration, and professional growth.

Participants work in teams to analyze a real-world business scenario, develop strategic recommendations, and present their ideas to a panel of industry judges. What sets Championing Change apart is its strong educational focus: teams receive live coaching from JDC West student mentors and structured feedback from the competition, followed by a dedicated revision period that allows them to refine their ideas and strengthen their final presentations.

Through this experience, students build critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills while gaining exposure to responsible business practices and meaningful industry engagement.
