Director of Marketing

Role Description

Time Commitment: Up to 5 hours per week (subject to change during peak operational periods)

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualizing and executing an appropriate brand strategy to reflect Ascend’s mission statement

  • Promote and increase awareness of the chapter and its events

  • Manage the website of the student chapter and social media pages

  • Keep our media pages up-to-date with news, past and upcoming events/ conferences

  • Lead a team of coordinators through the execution of the marketing year plan

Required Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills as an effective team leader

  • Outstanding time management skills, and ability to respond quickly to changes

  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop/Canva/Figma or any Photoshop software is an asset

  • Ability to pay high attention to details

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
